So I finally made a trip to test n tune. Boy oh boy ....what a mess. I rushed getting their so I had the nitrous on a toggle switch (dumb) as well as the arc 2 ignition cut. My launch was terrible but the car back halfed stupid hard. My time off the truck was 11.1 at 126, the rest was just mistake after mistake. Then my car caught on fire due to a nitrous backfire. Overall I learned a lot and can’t wait to get better

What do you think caused the backfire? spraying too much at too low of an RPM? Im asking because i've been using nitrous to get on the converter for years injecting in pretty much the same spot and i haven't had an issue but i damn sure don't want to run into that LOL

I believe it was totally my fault. First thing. I used the incorrect weld fitting for the nitrous so I had to use a reducer. The nozzle therefor wasn’t sitting deep enough in the pipe and I think it was hitting the edge of the pipe causing it to pool. The second. I think I initiated the nitrous at low/ part throttle. I was in a rush and had to nitrous on a toggle.... which is moronic

Whenever I use nitrous I only use it on WOT. I have had nitrous back fire once that I could remember. I was testing my launch to get my converter to spool up when launching and I heard a big bang I thought I blew up my motor. I think what might of saved me was that I only run a 50 shot no more than that. How much are you running?
