I hear that. Generally when I order small "prototyping" runs of 50 or less parts, it falls to the bottom of the list. (Perhaps that is just because of the machinists I use...)

We are paying customers, but we are small potatoes in the scheme of things. If I have it ready to go next spring I will be very happy. Any sooner is fine too.
It will be before spring LOL i blimming hope so.

Just wanted to update everyone who is buying the EPS kit. I got it all installed (It was a PITA but went in) and it is awesome! I have it triggered by the key being turned to accessory right now but may swap that to ignition but honestly not a big deal either way. I haven't driven it on the road yet but seems to be as advertised.

Might be worth sharing that I also got my own EPS setup in the car and on the road. Using prius column with yaris ecu and adjustable assistance controller. System feels similar to my Honda CRZ steering. On minimum setting the steering is fairly heavy. Road feedback seems okay so far, but I have not been at the verge of traction yet to really test it.

Glad to hear the Cole kit is working out well for you! Could you share some pics?

Hello everyone just a small update from myself more then anything,

Nothing from Quaife yet but I have been talking to Brandon from time to time to see how everyone is getting on with messaging him, we have about 27 people who have gotten in touch so if the others could make contact with Brandon asap please that would be great.

our due date from Quaife is around mid September time but I will email and ask for a status update mid August incase they can tell me anything then but as always as soon as I have any info I will let you all know straight away!

Thanks for your time and waiting for these to be processed by Quaife

Bobby

Hey everyone, as promised I was going to email them mid August and I did. I got a reply yesterday saying they are currently on their other site for gear cutting. I have a few pics they sent me.

He said they are a little behind but the aim is to have them to me by mid Sep. If this changes i shall let you all know once i find this out.

Hey all, im just wondering those that have not yet got in touch with Brandon at EMW please do so as he is missing some people still. All the racks will eventually be going to him so you need to contact him anyway so if you have not made contact yet can I ask you to do so ASAP please.

It makes it easier my side if i dont have to start trying to match names with who has got in touch and what not so please do so as soon as you can or see this message,

Those already done it Thank you for your response in doing so

Bobby

Hey all, no updates yet from Quaife. My assumtion is once they done all the gear cutting they will do the process of de burring and then final inspection and test fit into my rack, (im assuming this is the process) i could of missed a step or many as i dont know their exact process.

If i get an email or call from them i shall post up the updates i get from them. But from the pics i got i cannot imagine it will be much longer

Hello group!

Good news the rack kits are done!! Im planning to go see them in a week or 2 to have my final quality check and make sure I am happy with the finished product before i get them to ship them all to me. They have modified my rack housing for me so I can see and feel how the new ones will feel exactly as you would feel.

Once i go down i shall report back with my assesment

Morning everyone I have a little treat for you today because look where I am!!!

Well what a day, where do i start..... Well i will start by saying i got some videos so will work on that and get it done by next week bug a basic summery here.

The main reason I went down is for final checking to confirm fitment and to deal with 1 query they had about feel of the motion, bare in mind what ever they do they do to high levels and try to make it more perfect then a copied part so its tricky sometimes to make perfect in an oem housing but they did amazing.

I tried 2 pinions they made, 1 of them had a very slight difference in helix / gear angle and they wanted to see what one i felt was nice. They already knew what one was better but it was mainly to show me the concern they had encounterd and had to adjust for so i had to check both out of course. Everything else is great and felt great and real nice when turning it. I had no complaints what so ever.

I got back about midday and changed so i could drop my new daily wheels and tires off to get fitted so you will see a change in clothes in the video at the end,

Before i left Quaife I got a tour after the checking and was able to get some pictures and videos and shall put that all in the video i plan to make but here is just a few i will show here of the time i was there.

They are going to do the final part and inspection then have them shipped to me. So should be a few weeks if that before i get them but I am due an email early next week once my contact is back from Germany where a show similer to PRI is held. So once i get all this info and details i shall post it up.

Thanks all

Bobby
