I did the exact same thing on my sons car at the track. He said Dad, I can't get any grip, what can we do?
I lowered HIS tires to 20 for grip and he ran 12.8. I was afraid to go any lower for fear of unbeading the tires. That was his 97, the 95 he backed off the trailer and ran 11.5 so you can get that 11.99 man, I'm pullin for ya!
You were all over that light, with your R/T's.
Leavin on the last yellow huh...??? :sneaky::sneaky::cool:
Been there, taught the boys not to wait. If you see green, you were "eatin a sandwich at the light" ROFL.

I appreciate it Marty! And yes, start at the last orange, it’s an old habit :hellyeah: Lol eating a sandwich. I’m no mathematician, but cooler weather + e85 + more boost + more timing should = 11.999999999. Haha. Also, my driveshaft needs a rebuild, so I was leaving 1/2 throttle until it gripped. It’s heart pounding when the rear end feels like it’ll be left at the starting line. They’re ordered, so I’ll be getting that situated in the next month. Gosh it’s so darn expensive. I got everything from amayama.com except for the three yoke kits. Total cost was $420 shipped, so I save $80. Oem of course.

Not good turbo lab of America. Not good! Sent turbo housing back for repair. Only had less than 2k on it. :nono:

I'm surprised you could get ahold of those monkeys.

Funny you say that. I emailed them a pic and got a couple of wonky responses. Forgot exactly what they said but they wanted me to “pry” & “weld”:ohdamn::confused: I’ll have to find the message.

That's concerning...ive tried getting ahold of them for a while to modify an he351cw housing, never have gotten a reply...

Think Austin is the main guy there, and from watching his youtube videos, I think he knows what he's doing. With that said, yeah the messages I received was awfully strange.

He does seem very knowledgeable, but i feel like their business skills and customer service could use a polishing.

I contacted them twice to buy an hx40 and to upgrade a 20g and didn't hear back either time. Total morons. So wildly incompetent that I couldn't even give them money that was burning a hole in my pocket.

That’s frustrating and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I emailed them on Saturday through eBay and they got back right away but you saw the response so I called them Monday and they answered my call. Maybe they were busy??? Or they blocked your number :idontknow::D

his reply actually does make sense.

stick the flat head between the arm and the bushing and try to pry the bushing back into the housing.

hes saying to drive it back in and then peen the edges with a punch to hold it from coming out again. or just tack it once you get it in.

shouldn't have to since its so new, but at this point, it is the easiest thing to do

I see. I ended up using the side of a hammer and tapped it back in place but it started coming out again plus it was sticking fully open or fully closed. Decided not to mess with it and let them deal w it.

Driveshaft rebuild complete with only a few casualties. Today we honor my vise, cheap snap ring pliers and this heat shield that’s been shedding a pound of rust every time I was working underneath.

The last fing u joint didn’t feel smooth after I installed it. Found which cap was the culprit and removed all the needle bearings and found 4 that were defective. Wtf Mitsubishi??? Used 4 from the old set.

Just need a 6mm allen socket to torque and forgot to order new carrier bushings.
