It’s understandable, at the price point of the 86, why they would partner with another company, but really? With the RC and LFA platforms to work with, Toyota goes a completely opposite direction? The only thing that comes to mind is that it was a marketing maneuver, meant to buy time until the hybrid, or all electric, new models are announced.

Well the the RC weighs 4000lbs and the LFA is a very expensive carbon tub.

To me if it can't compete against the Nissan GT-R then it's not a Supra. Those 2 cars have always been rivals from the track to the street.

Let's see what some of these aftermarket manufactures can do with it. And hopefully someone makes that photoshop rendering an option to the front end because that actually looks like a modern Supra.
