I was at a light and I notice smoke coming from the hood I opened the hood and Freon is just leaking out is like a cloud around the car and the ac fan is not on am not sure if that was the problem tried to check today after work but of course it was raining will the car overheat with just one fan running and what could the problem be

The AC fan only runs to cool the condenser when the AC is on. If the system doesn't work, the fan may not come on. But the other fan should when the car is up to temp. And the ac fan is normally used as a backup if the first fan cant cool the car down enough.

As long as the radiator fan is going at proper temps (not the ac fan) the car should not over heat. As far as the AC system, if the ac fan wasn't working and you were using the AC, the system built up too much pressure and popped something, sounds like the high pressure switch didn't shut the compressor off. If you saw where it was leaking from great, if not, odds are if the car was ever recharged it should have dye in it and you need your self a black light to find the leak. Either an O ring gave out, or the condenser, maybe a hose. As far as why the fan is not working check the fuse and relay first, next the fan it self. Really need a set of AC gauges, if you don't have a set or not equipped to deal with the AC system since you're in Sunrise there's a place on Broward just east of 441 called Arctic Auto Center that's reasonably priced and knows what their doing.

Yes, if your ac condenser fan didn't work properly then withing a few seconds you will blow something in the a/c system due to over pressurization, either the pop off valve let loose on the compressor or an o-ring or hose blew as mentioned.

well drove it to work today no overheating problems there now i just have to figure out what went wrong is there a pressure relief valve on the compressor itself because thats where i saw the freon come out of.

Compressor seals are also a possibility if the system was overcharged. The orings, as mentioned, would be the next guess. Get a black light and look for the point it escaped, although that may be hard since there was a plume of Freon so it might have went everywhere.
