What's going on DSM family so I just got a hx35w from a friend of mine and I have never seen this kinda compressure cover before is says hx35w and it is a legit holset but again I have never seen this cover before can anyone help identify this cover is this a real holset or is this a really good Chinese turbo?

this cover is smaller than other holsets I have seen and messed with I got a rebuild kit for it and rebuilt it but again the turbine shaft on this turbo uses 2 oil c clips not just one like other holsets I have seen. The rebuild was as easy as any other but the parts that came from this turbo were also different than the parts that came in my kit I got.

The W at the end means it has internal wastegate. I have an HX40W and the turbine housing on mine had the internal wastegate. I have heard that most of these were used on buses or Cummins engines mated to automatic transmissions. Only difference should be just the turbine housing. Compressor cover and both wheels should be identical to normal HX35.

Thanks for getting back to me guys, but yea I know the W is for but my biggest thing is this compressor cover is smaller than any other hx35 I have ever had or installed on other ppls cars.
you guys have never seen this kinda compressor cover before? I can't find anything on this turbo so that's why I am asking is all.

If you can take the compressor cover off and measure the wheel diameters then you can check if that matches other HX35 specs.
