Hi guys!

I know Mitsubishi normally puts on Mitsubishi Owners Day but this year they aren't going to so they are claiming restructuring. That's fine. To keep the fire burning LancerNation is putting one together and hoping to get as many owners together as possible. WE have people coming out as far as Quebec and Maine. We are hoping you will come out and bring your DSM! Show us some sweet old school!

And the best part is this is sponsored by Mitsubishi Motors USA. Come for the road trip and join us for a little fun.

Glad someone is trying to do something like this. Wish it was more centrally located in the US, but I realize that's a tough ask.

One major flaw with the date though - this is the same weekend of the DSM/Evo Shootout, which is one of the largest and most attended DSM events every year. You might want to take that into consideration for next year's planning.

Yeah dude I know. But since Mitsubishi was paying for it they were choosing the date. We are going to make the best out of it and hopefully they will bring MOD back next year. We just trying to keep the community together while we wait. Not that they have been making AMAZING decisions lately. But if anyone wants to come for the drive we have members from as far as Quebec, Maine & Virginia coming out. Will be a great time to see all the modded and unmodded rides.

Maybe my maps memory isn't so good in my old age but aren't Quebec, Maine and Virginia pretty much in the same North Eastern region as CT? Having the event the same weekend as the Shootout is a poor decision if the goal is really to revitalize the M.O.D. tradition...

It sounds like it was out of their hands on the date, Mitsubishi chose the date. Hopefully this is conveyed to Mitsubishi. @LancerNation - if you want to PM me the contact at Mitsu who I can reach out to and explain it I'd be happy to do that.

Thanks for the support. We talk to the head of PR and many others in their PR department. It all comes down to what the dealer wants since they are paying for it and what Mitsubishi wants. I did convey to them that weekend is the Shootout and Broke east but they chose it anyway :/

Ahhhh, no wonder, dealerships are usually clueless when it comes to the enthusiast world. It's too bad Mitsu corporate allowed the dealer to choose the date.

Unless it wasn't the dealership or the dealership also figured they would try to take attendance away from the a non-Mitsu exclusive event.. or, at the very least, provide something for those that can't make it. Conspiracy theories aside, great work on taking the initiative to organize this. I hope it turns out well!
