i still have yet to get my cage in . i cant be too mad at the local shops since i picked the worst time of the year to try to get cage work done. gonna try to get something scheduled for the winter. ive noticed youve posted more updates on here than on fb (ive checked both ). glad to see things coming along buddyThank you. I am trying my best to get the car prepped for the 8.5 cage. I will get started on that next weekend. The cage will weigh roughly 120lbs plus the chute and mount on top of that. Trying to drop all the weight I can for nothing more than elbow grease. I still have the heater and everything under the dash I'm sure that weighs a decent amount. I removed the sway bars, end links, finally swapped my manual rack in, undercoating, full rear seats and all plastic behind the drivers seat. It has been so hot here though averaging a real feel of 115 plus this entire week and no ac in the garage. I'm just going to keep pushing and hopefully September/October time frame I'll make it to the track. You guys on tuners are getting more information than facebook. I just don't care for social media and at least here people can reference in the future for any information that may be useful for them. Stay tuned though because I have another surprise I am about to reveal!
I'm sure you have maxed the turbo out at 37psi. Adding the intake manifold would probably give a little in the upper rpm range with that turbo. In my opinion I would upgrade the turbo to the FP black if your searching for more power dollar vs dollar black vs v4 the turbo is going to give you way more. The auto has been a huge learning curve compared to manual. It is all about making the setup work together. Dupey ran 8s on a gt35r fp turbo/e3 mani and Noonen just ran 8s on a fp black. Both of them run 272 cams. I made 600 to the wheels on k272s and e3 mani. I think the reason I picked up so much was because the 67mm compressor wheel flows so much air compared to something smaller. I've seen guys swap to bigger cams and go slower. It's just a process of elimination really but you can't go wrong with the bolt on fp black.
I've been so busy I haven't had much time to post anything. Been to the track a few more times backing up those 9's consistently. Last outting I ran consistent 1.43s with crap track prep. I seen Volk Metal Craft was looking for a test subject on a modified rear trailing arm. I sent him the email and I ended up being picked as a tester. Shaves 10lbs and I will be able to take the wheel spacers off when I have the slicks on so win win. I also made my own ram air intake. I haven't had a chance to test it yet because I need my trailing arms back but for $38 in materials if it gains anything I look at it as a win. The past 3 months I have reached out to EVERYONE to get a front subframe built but no one was willing. I finally found someone and I picked it up last week. Once I get it on the car, aligned do some street driving and make some 140mph passes to make sure it's good I'll announce more on it. My 9.53 or faster is within reach and I plan on getting my goal very soon. View attachment 580617 View attachment 580618 View attachment 580619 View attachment 580620
I need to get it tested first then once I get the green light I'll push out the information.mmm you always manage to give me more motivation on mine . Who made the k member?
sounds good to me. ive only seen a couple people that offer them anymore that id even consider using.I need to get it tested first then once I get the green light I'll push out the information.

I hit all the big names first but no one wanted to make any. I did see one guy I think down in Florida working on a design/testing. I told this fabricator what I wanted and the cars purpose is mainly straight line drags with the occasional sunday cruise. I think alot of people expect these tubular subframes to be super light and more rigid than a factory one. In reality majority are built for one purpose weight reduction and as long as it holds strong i.e doesn't flex for my 1/4 mile passes then to me it's a well built piece for my application. I took the sway bars off a few months back, north and south bars have been off for like 5 years now definitely have no intent on doing any road course stuff.
Volk I seeTrailing arms were shipped today. I can't wait to see get them on the car!View attachment 580798
