Hi guys

Can some one answer me this:

It goes 1-2-3 and it stays there until i hit O/D. Then it goes into 5th (overdrive) “it makes a little jump”

How many rpm do i need to hit before it goes into 4th and What can be wrong?

I have never driven an automatic before. Its my first

, Chris

Can't tell if you are trolling or serious, but autos only have 3 speeds and an overdrive.

Depending on the year, which hasn't been stated yet, it could also have a lockup converter, couldn't it?
That may be the "little bump" that he is feeling.

Thanks. It Helps a little I guess. Well I drove it today and sometimes it bumps sometimes it does not. The whole point is just when O/D is swiched off and I go around 65-70 mph it rev a bit High.

But when I then here push in the switch it dives at good bit Down rpm (And here comes the little bump, and it comes a halv second after pushing the switch in.

Maybe everything is okay, i dont know. I never owned a automatic before.

Check the condition of your mounts. Engine and transmission. Then check your fluid. When is the last time you did a filter and fluid change?

Very simple, pull the transmission drain plug, catch the fluid, take all the bolts out of the transmission oil pan and remove it. The filter is right there and is always a good thing to change that and the fluid so that it gets all of the pressure it can to shift.

Get the filter from the Mitsubishi dealership. It has one inlet and one outlet for fluid. The aftermarket one's usually only have one slot. Boomdeeze pointed that out to me. And so far, has been true.

I stock 2 Wix 58997s here. They have worked very well for my son and I.
One note is that these are a revised filter and they also have a set of shorter bolts that come in the kit.
If you put the original bolts in, they are too long and run into the valve body veins, ruining it.
Ask me how I know, it wasn't good.....
These filters do filter good though.
