I am having my power steering pump rebuilt and was going to replace the alternator at the same time given how much fluid has leaked into it.

Are there any options that I can pick up at a local auto parts store and bold directly up with no modification?

This is for a 1990

Double check your plug to make sure it is the same (I am 99% sure, as that is the year of alternator I bought). Take it home, and then bring the core back so they don't know it isn't a 90 amp core (not a 75 amp model), not that they would be able to tell. I do believe the plug is in the back instead of the side, or visa versa but works like a champ on my car. I have been converting as many bulbs as I can to LED's to give the ignition and injectors as much voltage as I can.

That's impressive, they also make one for the 2g. I upgraded to the 90 amp (galant) alternator last year and has been awesome. With the installation of electric power steering, I am wondering if I should upgrade to this to add another 50 amps!

All the plugs looked good to me. Should have it in later today or tomorrow.

I just had my power steering pump rebuilt today as well.

Fingers crossed I should have everything I need to actually drive this thing under its own power.

The a/c compressor sounds like crap but I am just going to ignore that at the moment to just see this thing run one time.

I wish you good luck and a running DSM VERY SOON!!! :thumb: (me too....)
