I don't have experience with that kit, but it looks pretty comprehensive and doesn't have the crappy gaskets. The water/oil lines will be a bit odd, but you can use lines from your newly purchased 14b (unless it didn't come with any). Otherwise it looks decent and you don't have to pay extremepsi's $200 price tag.

Really you should only need the gaskets and maybe the drain, as the 13g is structurally the same in size and dimensions to the 14b on the outside. I dont recall if the oil/water fittings are different size tho.

I don't see any problems with it. I'd just order new gaskets and get a metric copper crush washer kit off amazon and save yourself like $50

I jumped from the 13b to a elcheapo 16 just to see if the car would wake up and boy did she. I think you will like the 14 upgrade!
I didn't have to use any special install stuff on my switch. I used the supplied hard line for the head, but had to alter my water tubes to work, adding a piece of rubber hose to connect them to the water feeds. The oil drain would have worked, but I used the new tube and cut the spring out of it then put oil resistant hose in that section with hose clamps to make it a easy install and removal for the future.

IIRC the oil feed line is different. I also believe the water lines are different. Been so long since I've messed with a 13g though I could be wrong.

Maybe thats why I had to alter my water tubes that came with the cheapo turbo but one thing is for sure, the 13b mani is a lot smaller on the outlet side. Mine was cracked too, so I threw my extra FP mani on it and she loved it. Just gotta get the oil and water stuff patched in.
If I were the OP, i would replace the manifold now too. I have mine on the shop floor and it is consideredably smaller on its outlet.

I might spend part of my next paycheck on a new manifold. However, theoretically, could I just port the the outlet on my current one?

Let me go see if I can show you a picture.

This is how much the difference is between a FP race and a stock 13b manifold, which is the VERY smallest I believe they made.
I wish I could dig up a stock 14 to even compair because they are bigger and flow better.
The last picture is the setup I took OFF. More in store....

Thats a Kinagawa adjustable WG on a cheapo 16 with a PR hot side with the mani, if you cant tell. I am using a 2g drain I see now also. I have 3, 4 of these amd forget which is configured which way.
I also see I decided to feed from the head with a 90* fitting on the head and a stainless AN line to that which made it easy also..
Just wanted you to see that I am JUST going thru this upgrade process too. :thumb:
Sorry.

More to come....
Here is a recently sold manifold like I used on my 13b car with my components until the transformation started.

The 13g is a tdo4 housing, while the 14b is a td05.
I know the oil feed will not swap over to the 14b. When I swapped over to a td05, it came with water lines, and an oil drain. So I'm sorry I cant help you there :(. With your kit I'm sure ull just need to do sum fitting on the car, checking for leaks will be key with an Ebay kit.
The manifold I would swap over as well, while you have it off. Either get a 1g 5 speed manifold or 2g, fp race like suggested.
Heres the difference between auto and manual 1g manifolds. It's a picture of a picture, sorry, but it does the job for reference.
