Just got my rack out today and cleaning it up to ship. Definitely looking forward to this.

I got the EPS kit from "Cole" and had an interesting experience with being the first buyer from him. I sent him my column and he say he would like to send me his original as it was quicker turn around rather than waiting for him to convert my original column. I said I would take his if it was in as good of condition as mine being my car has 70k miles, he said it was so he sapped my ignition on to his modified column.

I received the column and found the splines on the bottom of the column all messed up to where I couldn't get the u-joint to slip over to connect it to the steering rack. I ended up having to modify it to get it back to usable condition which I am not too pleased with. Cole said it was damaged during shipping and was contacting them for insurance purposes, never heard back from him. I reached out months later and he said he was still trying to figure out what happened.

I have not installed it yet but it does seem straight forward for the most part. The EPS box has about 10 or so wires coming off it and you are only set to use three, It would be great if he cut the wires that are not to be used to clear up confusion as it comes in a big bundle of unknown wires. I will try to get this installed soon to be sure everything works and report back.

Overall- It's awesome he is offering this at a reasonable price but unfortunate I had the experience I had. His communication was great but the workmanship ion the product was lacking as it looked like he hadn't don't too much welding before tackling this but im sure it gets the job done. Just my .02 on ordering the EPS kit.

Well, you could always use a Prius column and do it yourself! It's not rocket appliances. Mine turned out great, and I have full adjustability with a potentiometer.
The steering column is something I wouldn't want problems with when travelling at 70+MPH (or 5MPH for that matter). That's why I did my own... that and the ability to adjust assistance and cost/availability of the parts.

Are you able to use the oem steering wheel on the Prius column?

Any pics of the damaged.

Yes, I am using the stock steering wheel, stock ignition switch, stock turn signal switches, stock steering wheel lock, etc etc etc.

There are a few pics in my profile. If you would like any others, let me know.

The picture of the steering shaft on my desk is made from the top of the DSM shaft (so it can use the stock bearing in the stock housing) and the bottom is the Prius splined (slip) shaft (so it can use the prius bottom half). They were simply cut to length, the top half of the DSM shaft was turned down on a lathe to match the hole in the Prius bottom half. Then I tig welded the shaft together.

It collapses 1/2" more than the stock DSM column. It keeps all the factory functions of the steering column, with one exception. The tilt adjustment loses a bit of downward angle. That is to say it will not tilt down as far as it used it. This isn't a problem for my normal driving position, but it does make some things more difficult. For example, I have to loosen the bolts in the top half of the column to pivot low enough to sneak the gauge cluster in and out.

!!!!! ATTENTION !!!!! can everyone on the list please email Brandon at EMW asap please to get that side of things arranged with him as he does not want any delay once the racks are in and the deal is to do them all at once as per our agreement with the service he is offering!

So please please get in touch via the email listed on page 1 section 2 of the process!

Thanks for letting us know Bobby. I thought we were waiting to start on part 2 after the gears were done. Just sent him my info.

I dont remember through the process on messages what i said etc LOL.

He wants to get all the details from everyone before they arrive so he can keep it rolling smoothly once they do arrive

Nothing from Quaife i have been told to wait as i did email and ask a few weeks back

I am sure this doesn't rank too highly on their priority list. Whenever they do them, I will be appreciative to you, Bobby, and to them. Thanks again for organizing this opportunity.
I dont think its that as we are still paying customers but its a bulk order and they gave me times from development to processing times and its still well within the times for them, i dont know how they work or if they have a job list or not but i do not want to annoy them by asking all the time thats for sure

I hear that. Generally when I order small "prototyping" runs of 50 or less parts, it falls to the bottom of the list. (Perhaps that is just because of the machinists I use...)

We are paying customers, but we are small potatoes in the scheme of things. If I have it ready to go next spring I will be very happy. Any sooner is fine too.
