Hello, I'm a newbie from the Philippines and i recently acquired a 1996 Eclipse GST that needs lots of love especially the engine. I hope to rebuild it back to its original awesome condition as what every DSM truly deserves. I know it will be a lot of work and not an easy job but DSMtuners' inspiration to keep DSM alive is strong. Thanks for accepting me here.

Welcome! I'm seeing more and more far spread dsmers come up and it's awesome!

The car actually looks super clean, so if engine work is all it needs that's the easy part. If you have any questions, ask away, and I look forward to your progress and updates!

Welcome to the forum, and NICE looking GST!!!
As questions come up, do a little search and then post up your questions, we are all glad to help!

Thanks. The picture is actually from the ad post of the previous owner and probably taken long before I acquired the unit. So the pictures look better than the actual condition. Anyway I will provide updates from time to time.

So far, we took down the fuel tank, its heavily rusted, cleaned and rust removed, changed fuel filter, fuel injectors, air cleaner, repaired the suspension, changed shock absorbers, did some minor engine works (sorry i'm not a mechanic and knows very little about the work, a friend of mine is helping me with the build, in the process i am learning) and now body repair/repainting is ongoing , here are some photos taken the other day and today:
