Hey guys so I’m putting my exhaust back together and I just want to know the bolt size that fits in the ground wire and exhaust bracket. Everything I have is either too big or too short. I found plenty of debate on wether or not to hook it back up but nothing on bolt size. I even checked the “what size is that bolt or nut” thread but had no luck. I want to play it safe and use it. Also, does it go in between the rubber bushing and exhaust bracket? I assume so.

This.

Also yes, sandwiched between the hanger and bracket. That ground is usually for additional grounding on O2 sensors to eliminate interference from gaskets or poor connection IIRC, as well as electrolysis prevention in the exhaust from moisture.

Thank you much. EVLGSX is right about the pitch size. Although the bolt is slightly too large to fit through the ground wire hole. Do you think I’ll be ok to use a step bit and make the hole slightly larger so the bolt can slide through?

Absolutely, I do it all the time. Use vice-grips tho, cut myself alot thinking I could hold it with my hand...
