1). Any boost, vac, or exhaust leaks?
BLT to 25 psi. No vac leaks. Exhaust is open under the o2 housing. Just for now, not permanent.

No noob here.

Motor is tuned already. Just swapped to an awd auto. From a 95 auto gst.

Car will fire right up after cranking. It will idle all day long. The issue is once I put it in gear (Reverse, Drive, 1st, 2nd.) It will die. I was able to keep it idling in gear ONE TIME, with no brake pressure applied. Just the E-brake up, RPM's were around 200.

I actually drove this car a full 3 miles BEFORE THESE CURRENT SYMPTOMS. Blew a coupler on the way back. I BLT since. Fixed couplers & leaks.

I have a few suggestions saying it could be the Torque Converter.

Now, I did prematurely drive the car around my neighborhood, one block, and back home. I wanted to recheck tire pressure. & found the car was 4 quarts low. It was recently rebuilt by a friend.

Now before I tear the car apart, i figured a log can say a million words. But I wish i had a video as well. Regardless, everytime i place it into gear, it stalls out & dies now.

Sounds like a converter problem . Can you brake rev it and if the car seems like its trying to stall then i would say its the converter .
 
The car will stall when I rev.

I have been told it is the: Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid. Which is located inside the transmission pan, where the valve body is. I have a spare 2g auto trans from my gst. Going to use the solenoid from there.
 
you can try the solenoid but usually when an electrical component goes you will get a code for it .
 
Your o2 shows 0.00v in both data logs . The car is working in open loop mode because of that . Is the car jerking hard & dies when you put it in to gear ? Or is it going in to gear smooth like auto should and than dies ? You have also dtc 0202
 
I shall get another log. But i know currently I have no codes. I believe that CEL was for a misfire.

Car goes into gear smooth. Dies instantly. Car idles smooth. Will start up immediately. Checked 4 times.
 
The logs I placed in the OP are actual logs of me putting it into gear. If you look thru them, you can see where it is idling, then just dies.
 
Right after you put the car in gear afr est shows that ecu is adding fuel to keep the rpm steady stft goes to+ 8% combined ft +10.5%, car has entered closed loop yet o2 shows 0.00volt . Btw this is where the wideband comes in handy .

I shall get the wideband transfered over. It is an LC-1. Still installed in my 95 GST exhaust. I swapped the entire long block over & ecu. Same exact tune, just awd trim now.

Engine & Tune was flawless when in ECU.

I will check back after I install wideband & possibly swap out Clutch Solenoid.

Would having an open o2 housing affect this? I would assume yes. I have 3" downpipe not installed. Due to stock o2 housing studs not clearing the pipe for nuts to be installed.

I swapped the trans out, and it was fixed. A few people said torque converter. Or converter clutch.

If you kept the rpms high enough, it was actually driveable to my buddys house to do the trans swap. But very sluggish. Loss of power.
 
Crazy. I just had my talon repainted. No engine work of any sort. Hasn't been driven for around 5 months. Finally had some time to pick it up from the shop (my uncle owns a shop), and now the thing dies when I put it in gear. Idles fine and revs good in neutral or park. Car made a 400 mile trip before it was painted. Running on dsmlink with speed density. All connectors are tights and fluids good. Thoughts?
 
How many miles are on the trans? Have you drained the fluid a little to check for any material? Trans pump has gone out on me before. That was one fix for a situation before. But this one specifically i feel like is a converter clutch solenoid.
