So this car has the little fuse block, between B+ and the fuse block. There were two 30A fuses. The 30A fuse that is in the circuit with the 100A alternator fuse has been popping after a new alternator was installed. I was under the impression that the little fuse block is unnecessary and I could delete that, replace the 4 white wires and have a straight shot to the battery, am I correct?

Also, the small gauge wire that goes to 20A cond.fan/vent.cond...replace that wire, re-splice it into the new wires or safe to delete that?

So the way I re-wired my alternator cable was to delete the small white wires, and run 4 gauge straight from the alternator to the main fuse box. I did however add a 100 amp in line fuse within 12 inches of the alternator just to be safe since I was deleting the fusible link wire. Electronics have been running way better, no dimming at all.

A single 4g wire from the alt. And then a single 4g wire from fuse box to the battery?

What'd you do with the small gauge wire that's spliced Into the white ones?

yeah those fuses in the little fuse block are not needed, plus they are too small anyways.

so like you said go straight from the battery to the 100A fusible link
and straight from the battery to Fusible links 4-8

for the (white/red) wire to the a/c & cooling system, the easiest thing would be to attach it at the battery terminal if possible.

Yes to the first two. the small gauge wire, I cut it off and spliced it into the 4 gauge going to the battery. I did extend it, because it was short.

Edit: Essentially I made the wire connect directly to the battery is what I'm saying.
