Hello again everyone.
I'm making this thread hoping to save myself some work and time.
So every since I bought the car there was never anything to hold my battery in place. After looking at a few other DSM's in the area (only 2 because they're super rare down here) it appears that the car was designed to have the battery flop all around. Or maybe everyone removes them for some reason. I see some bolts under the battery but those seem to be holding the plate in place and not for a bracket. Over the past few months my battery cables have been pulling out of place while driving. Next time I try to start the car, it won't. I tighten them up more and more but they still pull out due to the battery swaying side to side. I'm also concerned that one day if I need to brake really hard it would smack my ECU. I know it's not that the battery is too small because I'm using the Maxx brand with 700 CCA ( < bulky box there).
So I was really just wondering if Mitsubishi made these cars with some sort of bracket to hold the battery in place. Or if anybody sells any type of reinforcement to keep it from flying around. I can just weld a metal plate in front of my ECU to prevent movement but I really don't feel like it because that just seems too un-necessary.
And if someone could tell me where to purchase this, it would be very greatly appreciated.
