What’s up guys! Just curious who’s out there pushin there luck besides me, I’m in a better financial situation now than I was a couple years ago when I had my motor rebuilt, at the time I did a budget rebuild with cheese. Original crank, rods, and pistons which according to the machine looked great, even with 132,000 miles. Went with ARP rod bolts/main studs and of course ARP headstuds. Any who I’m currently pushing 35 psi out of a dsm82 which the motor seems to be taking in stride, timing is of course conservative, but when do I stop . This is all on a stock 90 trans, act 2600, and e85. I’m headed to the track soon to see what she’ll do, it’s been a few years but I can’t wait! I’m starting this thread because I personally believe the power potential in these factory bottom ends is what makes them so bad ass, any body can throw forged internals in their Kia and make power, but what makes the 4g63 so legendary is it doesn’t have to be “built” to hurt your feelings. I’ve had buddy’s that tore apart perfectly good bottom ends for a 50 trim . I think what I’m trying to get at is if your engine is healthy put your money in maintenance first, then supporting mods, learn to tune what you have with the guidance from others here who have been there and done that
