Found a huge boost leak coming from the throttle body area (Guess that explains my full boost coming in near 6500 RPM, if I was really even hitting full boost.) Anywho, wont go past 10 PSI with my 120 PSI Compressor, because of this TB leak. Well I've researched and found that the TB Shaft seals go bad and start leaking after some time, so my TB is off the car.
Its a 1990 Throttle Body so, it's different than the other TB's that Ive seen. My question is, have you guys had any luck using O-Rings as replacements for those seals? Were you able to get rid of these leaks using O-Rings?
Any tips on installing the throttle body Gaskets (2)? I ask because, I was thinking about maybe putting down a very thin bead of RTV than laying the gasket down, anyone had any luck with that?
Thanks, and any other tips on rebuilding this TB would be awesome, because I can't find a write-up for the 90 Specific TB!
