Currently, my talon has a knock off 16g that has been progressively failing for the last 2 years. I don't drive on the highway since the car will get up to 70mph and then hesitate to go faster, but bog a little once pushed past that speed. I'm pretty sure the turbo is the root problem. I have an FP HTA68 that I was planning to put on a new engine I've been building, but it looks to be that I may need to throw it on the talon now so I can drive on the highway in the near future, 75mph limit. If I chose to put it on, would the engine and turbo be safe with the stock tune and internals? I would get a boost controller if needed to keep the psi st the OEM level if needed as this wouldn't need to be anything more than my DD. I know it seems to be a waste of an awesome turbo, but if I need to do it, I'll have to. Engine is all stock minus the Ebay turbo. No upgraded fuel system, or anything else really. I do have a wideband I could install as well to at least monitor things. I would also get an oil sample done before install to ensure the engine is healthy.
