ive been trying to find some information on how to remove the exterior body panels.... the previous owner of mine had taken them off and used some type of adhesive to attach them back on. Looks like shit. I recently ordered some clips to put them back on properly but I can’t find a thing on the removal procedure. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sorry, I didn't know if you meant fenders, bumpers, etc.... Because I would consider those body panels.
But, what you are referring to is the side skirt door cap, and it is attached with clips that slide into the doorcap and then press into holes in the door. Here is the backside of the doorcap, so you can see where the clips slide into.

This is for a 93 Talon DL.(I didn't know what trim you had) It looks like its held in with 2 clips. I think this the right part.

Sorry my photos never loaded

Yup. Same thing I'm wanting to replace on mine. Its still stuck to the door but its in about 10 pieces. Anyone know where to get them?

Last time it had to replace the tape behind them I just used the 3M double sided molding tap they had at the auto store. Still sticks OK after 5 or 6 years its due for new. Just make sure you clean ALL the old tape off.

Too get em off a bit of goo gone, maybe some heat, a plastic scrapper. Just try not to bend it much or it might end up in 10 pieces like mine.

Awesome! This is exactly what I was hoping for. I’ve been afraid to just yank them off ... for obvious reasons... but being able to see the back side of one definitely helps out a lot! Thank you very much. Now I can fix this properly:)

I ordered new clips on e-bay.
Try to park in the sun or remove it on a warmer day it will make it less likely to break when pulling it off.
I’ll hit it with the heat gun first just to be sure :)

Thanks for the help

I didn't any clips on mine, or even holes for em. I think the clips are for the lower door trim. If all your doing is the to one you shouldn't need clips.

** I need to read better.. all my posts are referring to the upper moldings on the middle of the door. Just wanted to clarify.
