Ok I'm in a bit of a decision making deal. I dont know if I should get dsmlink for my set up or haltech. I plan on making 800 to 1000hp. Will upgrade car as time goes on to make the 1000hp goal. I have seen that there is 650hp cars on dsmlink. But will it tune a 1000hp car. I need some people to help out with some info if you could I have been reading on dsmlink and haltech. So any info is great thanks tuners

Ask your tuner what they prefer to tune with, and go with that. The opinions of people here don't matter, since your tuner is doing the work and may only use one platform in a 1000hp build.

If your main purpose is HP than any standalone ems can work. Which ems should be used would be totally personal preference of who actually tune and also your needs. If you would need many spare input/output extensibility, better map resolution or faster processor then should compare the spec before purchasing and go with the one that can meet your needs.

Without a doubt ecmlink will get you there, there are people in the 7’s running it and multipule 1000hp dsms, the issue is if you plan to run a lot of sensors for logging purposes, you are limited on inputs with ecmlink and the stock ecu. However if you do choose haltech, or even AEM Infinity, we are a dealer for both and can get you setup for a good price

Ok sounds good. Yea I just wanted to know if dsmlink will be good for 1000hp. I'm planning going beyond that in the long run. Not sure what to go with.

The stand alones are going to be better hands down, hardware and software. Way better then a 1995 computer (ecu) but what I think draws everyone into ecmlink is it’s ease of installation, fourm support, and simplicity. It’s not basic and definitely has what most in the community need and as I said before there are numerous people holding records using ecmlink V3, but unfortunately it can’t compete with new hardware as far as resolution time, updates, and graphic interface, and loggable parameters, failsafes and such.

For what it’s worth. I personally would have taken ecmlink v3 over to my evo9 if it was compatible, but since it isnt, I’ll be using AEM infinity 506

Save yourself time and money. I've learned the hard way. Ask your tuner what he prefers, unless you are tuning yourself. I had Ecmlink, then I bought a G4+, which is sitting on my toolbox for sale because my tuner preferred Haltec. I purchased the 1,500 Elite. Start off investing money in the brains of the car. You do not want to waste money or time, which I did.
