Hi all, my name is Joakim and im from Sweden.
I had an eclipse before but sold it about two years ago, and have missed it ever since, now im ready to get back in the DSM game.
Im going to look at an 2ga EDM on Thursday, which looks very nice from the pictures i have recieved, all original
besides having changed to 19" wheels, completelly original in the enginecompartement and original paint with no rust. Since i am from Sweden this is an EDM spec Eclipse with an NA 4g63 engine.
Lets hope it is in as good condition as it looks, if not the hunt will continiue.

Hi Joakim, and welcome!
Sweden is an interesting country to me. I might PM you sometime with a question or two about it, so please watch for it in your email notices Ok?
One thing I could ask you right here is, do they put salt on the roads in Sweden for de-icing in winter? Or do they use something different?
The "no rust" in your first post makes me curious!

Yes in the southern part of Sweden where i live they use salt on the roads at winter, so whatever Eclipse i will buy wont be used
when winter tire season in on (we are also required by law to have winter tires from 1 nov-31 march).
For winter and as a daily i have an brand new Suzuki Vitara 2019, turbo 4wd.
You are welcome to ask any questions you like about sweden, either here or in PM.

Good plan - to stay away from the Eclipses that had winter use.

A brand new Suzuki Vitara turbo, cool! I bet that is a fun car.

We don't get Suzukis here in the USA anymore. But guess what kind of Suzukis I see every day where I live?
People are bringing in JDM cars from Japan made in the early 90's because they are more than 25 years old now, which makes them legal to import without any modifications.
So right now I have a neighbor who has a Suzuki Carry 660 (Kei truck), and a Suzuki Cappuccino turbo (Kei car). Both are like 1990 or 1991.
Three cylinders. 650 cc. The Cappuccino is modified a little and is a blast on the road. We just took the carburetor apart on the Kei truck last week and could not get it back together! Stupid spring under the diaphragm. I don't know what they were thinking. There are no proper spring seats at either end of it to hold it in place. And can't find a diagram or a manual for that carb. But I don't read or write Japanese so all my google searches have been in English.

I love the japanese kei cars, Suzuki Alto Works is a really cool new one, and the honda s660 as well.
I havent seen any here, i think the combo of expensive fees to import from Japan and the fact that most swedes would be a bit tall in those minicars is the main reasons.

The Vitara is a nice daily, and it gets me and my mrs out in the nature for some hiking etc,
light offrading is no problem, and it could probably handle more than i dare to throw at it.
Once my warrant is out i will probably tune it and get a bigger turbo kit.

Thank you th106!
I bought the car today and drove it 3 hours home, everything works fine, even the ac.
There are some small things i am going to fix, but afterall the car is 23 years old and taking that in consideration its in very good condition!
