As some know I just got this 98 GST Spider and am about to tackle the engine. I want to get it back to factory as much as possible to make sure it running correctly before mod-ing. Here are some of what I found. Amazing what people do. Golf Tee, bolt, something in the BOV port and where does the valve cover line where the small red filter is now, go to.

Is there a good diagram of where these vacuum hoses go to? I had one for my Starion and it was nicely colored to be able to follow where each one went to. The Golf tee is off the wastegate, where should that go. Am I missing some of the BOV / Recirculation valve? If you see anything else in the engine bay that I missed let me know.

P.S the oil splatter on the timing cover was me, opening the oil cap when running.

The line of the valve cover should go to the turbo inlet pipe, it's known as the "fresh air line" for the pcv system.
The wastegate line should go to a boost source, usually a nipple on the charge pipe or compressor cover.
I have no idea what is in the BPV port, but it doesn't belong, and I don't even see a proper BPV or BOV anywhere.
Not sure if that green line on the IM is even factory...

You have to remove that brass Tee in the coolant line. Not sure why but I dont care. Its not correct.

I also do not see a blow off valve.

Guy above is correct on the link for the vaccuum lines.

I would suggest doing a boost leak test. That left intercooler pipes with the ribs in it, looks super suspect. i would get rid of that.

Also, that positive battery terminal is junk. Replace it with better ones.

Was reading thru my searches on this site and they said to just use the factory BOV. Should I try to find a used OEM or can I go aftermarket? After eveythnig is sorted out my goal is 300HP.

Also in the picture I am missing the drivers side radiator fan. Need to find one of those too.

an aftermarket BOV is fine as long as you recirculate it back into the intake

-the radiator fan looks like its spaced out with 5 or 6 washers, it may not be a problem but you might wanna take a closer look
-it looks like the fuel pressure solenoid isn't connected
-the coolant line, just to the left of your dipstick tube, looks like its not sized correctly.
-the cruise control cable is missing or not hooked up

Found where the green hose goes on the intake pipe, right back to the intake pipe and the upper connection is the picture is wide open, not even capped.

Well the green side is supposed to go to the valve cover where you have the breather filter, and the black side should go to your wastegate solenoid (under the intake pipe on the frame).

Man, 3 more hose locations. Where do these go?

Just below the intake pipe is a solenoid with 2 hoses that are off and a T in them. (and another bolt)

Just behind the intake plenum.

And this solenoid just to the right of the brake reservoir. (Just found it on the above diagram, fuel pressure solenoid, not attached, great)

Thanks. I just took off most of the left side of the engine since I am replacing the clutch and found more! Just below the battery tray. Its another solenoid with a 1/4 hose fitting. Will post pictures later after I fix the above houses.
