They do appear to be the same, hubs are different of course, and you'll have to knock the dust plug out or in depending on what you're doing.

I can't find a difference in them visually, but I don't have a 2g gsx rear knuckle to compare.

some FWD knuckles have longer bolts (4 for hub) compared to other FWD knuckles, because they are thicker in the area marked in the pic below,

Im not sure if its a 2ga - 2gb thing or if its
a drum or disc (drum in disc) brake thing.
and im not sure if its the same for the AWD

Ill have to look into it and let you know

2GA are shallow compared to the 2GB versions,
Fwd and Awd do differ from the hub area, the Fwd is smaller hole for the non axle type bearing where as the Awd has a much larger hole for the axle type besring.

I have not weighed to compare differences on setups.

If you swap to the Awd versions then remember to make some kind of clamping system to torwue the bearing to spec or it will fall out and wear out faster

pretty sure I swiped a set of rear knuckles out of a super clean 99 OZ rally edition .......way back........for one of my GSXs

dont remember running into anything that could not be worked around. its been a lot of years though

I wanna say you can just knock the dust cap out and bolt an AWD bearing assembly in.

Nope, knuckles are not the same. The hubs are different between the fwd and awd. The hub bolt pattern is slightly larger on the awd and the opening for the knuckle is larger on the awd

You would not of, the Fwd cannot be used on an Awd because the hub hole is too small and wont allow the awd besring to mount! So an awd can be used on a fwd IF only IF the knuckles and bearings are swapped to,

your right, I dug into it........my upper bushings where done, so the rattling was obnoxious..........i stole the rear knuckles off the OZ and pressed the good bushings out of them, and then pressed them into my gsx knuckles. was like 10 years ago. my bad

oz knuckles went in the trash as they where useless to me besides the mint bushings.

think I forgot more than i currently know.
