Just an FYI, this post will be little long
Alright so I'm battling a CEL with my 2g and it all started about a week ago. Last week I went out for a quick spin and did a 2,3,4 gear pull on the car. All was fine, I then drove the car home and parked it. About 10 minutes later I go out to my car to start it back up, all is fine until I notice the CEL is lit up. I go grab my scanner and it reads P0300, random cylinder misfire. I make a u turn and go park the car again.

First thing I do is go get a new set of br7es, gap them to .024(car likes this gap) and put them in. The code clears up and off I go for another drive. When I get back home I park the car for like an hour. I start it back up and bang another CEL. This time it reads P0302, cylinder misfire in #2. Before I changed anything I went to drive the car. The car behaved liked normal and even went into boost fine until about 15 psi then it started to lean out.

Next thing I did was throw in a spare coil and the code went away again. I drove the car and did a 2, 3 pull and it pulled hard, no issues to redline. Yesterday I went to start the car up to only be greeted by that damn p0300 code again and before I go nuts I just want opinions.
Spark plugs are obviously new
My blue ngk wires might have about 15k miles on them
Coil was swapped out with a spare unit that I had to potentially rule out a bad coil (140k on it)
I replaced my cam angle sensor last year with a new oem unit (maybe 4k miles on
I did a compression test at the end of last season (I've only driven the car about 500
miles since) and it was 175 across the board.
I'm not sure about the crank sensor, I've never changed it. Car starts up, idles fine and drives fine when the CEL is there. Only problem is when I go up after 15 psi and the wastegate opens. If I clear the CEL the car will pull hard in full boost, but will then it seems to come back the next time I start up my car.

Dis you try replacing this? I cant remember the name but I had the same issue and when I replaces mine, that cell went away.

thats the ignition power transistor (parts stores probably have it listed as the ignition control module)

Thank you Sir! Yes that!

I am having similar issues, thanks for all of the information. My car was also ok until I did a pull, then it had a noticeable misfire. Car runs ok until it seems to warm up, then the misfire happens again. Pulled codes and got a p0300, p0505, and a p0403. The p0403 was to be expected since the egr has been deleted, but still exploring what is causing the p0505 (idle air control system) and the p0300.

I'm having issues with mine too. First was p0301 so I replaced the plugs and wires with ngk. Injectors not even 3 year old pte 1000cc with a rewired walbro 255 and inline filter before aem rail. Lc2 wb simulating nb. Now I throw a p0300 and p0170. Ignition coil specs out. Could I be looking at CAS and front o2?

Did this fix the problem. I'm pulling p0300 as well. I changed the plugs put in a new coil yesterday fixed it for a few mins. Now I'm having the same issue again.

I also found a injector leak and fixed.

I have ECMLink v3, anyone have a run down on how to hook it up and upgrade maps
