Ok so I am in the process of finally making the decision to order rods Manley TTuff but the weight per each is almost 700g. I also just ordered HD wrist pins from trend performance and each pin weighs 140g. To put it in comparison old eagle rods were 569g and previous wrist pins were 91g each so the difference is HUGE in terms of weight. Will it significantly affect the life of bearings and be noticeable on the street in terms of rotational mass? I went with ACL race standart bearings. I just want safe 650whp and 8000rpm on 2.3l.
PS I see howard has rods that are light enough that can support the demand, but it doesnt seem like they have rods for 6bolt anymore. Please chime in
Thanks

My Manley I beams weigh in at 695 gms compaired to my H beams at 574. I am going to twist my 2L 9k so I went with the lighter rods. I made 614 in another setup and never had rod or bearing problems, thats why I went with the H beams again, since I was going to wind the engine.
Maybe some other builders will chime in with their thoughts.
The heavier rods will take alot more boost, but I run 40 psi on my HX40, H beam motor with no problems.

I took my pauter’s to over 9000 rpm without issue for a long time. And those are the heaviest rod you will find. In our mirage we use the turbo tuff rods and have been regularly beating this engine to upwards of 9,800rpm for the past five years s we were even at the race track again yesterday with the car.

If you want a steel rod that's strong and light look into carrillos. Their pro-h is nowhere near the same rod as all the other h-beams and weigh in the 500's. They're also $1200+ a set.

A heavier assembly will retain rotational mass like a heavier flywheel and save some of that in between shifts or roll the tires/grip.
Glad @Biglady could add some advice, thanks!!

I am really fond of h tuff plus from Manley but they only make it for 7 bolt and that would have been my go to. Those of you guys that have Manley TT are you using standard bolts or 625 for higher rpm? Like I said 8300rpm in stroker and about 750whp is all I am looking for and also I want to buy the rods once instead of doing it twice if I decide to go 850whp later on.
Or should I utilize Manley H beam plus since I have them? Are Manley h beam as strong as the eagle?

I have been running TT's and HD wrist pins for about 4 years now. Just had it apart over the winter to check things out and bearings looked great. This is on a mid/low 9sec car that gets beat on religiously and spun to 9k. This car also sees a ton of street time as well as a ton of highway/interstate miles going to different states to race at time. Put some fresh bearings in since things looked good and will be shooting for high 8s this season on a bigger turbo.
