Well. We got it running with the new turbo a couple days ago (it might be a few weeks - the days just go by so quickly lately!). It feels so good and the more boost we add, the happier we (and the car!) get :)
We’ve been taking it everywhere - out for breakfast, running errands, and Samantha took it to get groceries on Saturday in the rain (the MT ET Streets weren’t as scary in the rain as we thought but still wouldn’t want to do that again!).
Street car 100%!

We took the car out to the annual Memorial Day “cruise night” hosted by our friends in Illinois yesterday. It was a great night of hanging out with people we haven’t seen all winter and catching up. Driving the car two hours one way was pretty fun (and loud, holy moly - time to get the backseats in and reupholstered around the cage).

We got the stickers on the car to add some extra HP to impress our friends too ;)

Really happy with this car so far.

We went to the local Cars & Coffee and clunk was giving Matt a hard time with the clutch chatter on the way there (it didn’t do it for me on the way back but it always seems to behave better for me, LOL). On the way back we were talking about it and thought the clutch probably still wasn’t broken in. For prototype we had to launch it to break it in so we thought what the heck, let’s try it (we hadn't launched it at that point).

We took it out, launched it once.Immediately felt like a different car after. It was great! Drove it back home to cool off while we looked over logs, etc.

Went back out and couldn’t tell if it was the clutch slipping or tire spin (I kept thinking tire spin but Matt was nervous it was the clutch since Prototype was being goofy the last time we took it out).

So we let it cool down while we did some more log evaluating. Looked a lot like tire spin so we said well, let’s go do one more. He was still pretty hesitant ‘cause he wasn’t convinced it was tire spin.

Matt asked me if I wanted to drive the last one of the day but I said no so he decided to drive this round. I’ll be honest, I’m pretty nervous until we get the lockout mechanism (I paid a lot for this dogbox and it took me forever to save for and I don’t wanna pay for another!! Matt was worried about the 2-3 but decided to go for it anyway). I absolutely refuse to do a 2-3 even though I want to and the car wants you to; I’ve never had issues in the past but....you know. The idea of a $$ shift is

ANYWAY. Got some videos of the last one that Matt did
