Well a while back my black top cas started acting up and then stopped working around 1 am in the morning and luckily I had my spare greentop cas and a timing light in my car. Lmfao An Hour later I had spark and drove home.
Fast forward 2 years and I found it in a box and decided to take a gander inside it.
I know the pin has to be pressed out but other than that what goes bad in these things ? I'd much rather run the black top as it's a digital signal and more reliable compared to the ugly greentop .
I'd like to fix it I have new a new seal for it . Did oil get in and interfere with it? Anyone ever rebuild one?
I can feel where there's obviously magnets inside for the signal guessing it's works sorta like an abs or pulse generator . The trigger plate goes over the magnet and makes a signal.
Really hard to find a blacktop cas here in Winnipeg .
Thanks.
Ps anyone know someone with a 1984 Chrysler laser XE turbo found these mud flaps at the old chrsler building before they tor it down
