this is for my red 92: recently changed my I/C setup and swapped to a 3" GM MAF in blow-through, IAT and OP 4 BAR MAP with an ECMlink PnP buffered adapter harness.

the car runs fine, but the OP MAP doesnt seem to fluctuate at all, nor read a correct pressure as far as i can tell. i have MTX gauges, and the boost gauge runs a MAP as well (3 or 4 bar, id have to check to be sure), and has seemed to be correct from day one, checked against a mechanical gauge to within .5 psi and around the same in/hg.

ive tried it wired to the buffered input harness as per ECMlink wiki, and also hardwired it to the car side of the MAF plug per ECMlink wiki, the only differences were the values logged in link. on the buffered input, signal was very erratic and after about 1-2 min would flatline to 26.4in/hg with no fluctuation, and directly hardwired, it sits at 6.9in/hg, then goes to ~12in/hg under throttle (which is backwards...).

i still have some testing to do, but im almost wondering if the MAP is just bad. both the OP and MTX MAPs are tapped in just off the manifold on the brake booster line, with around 4-6" of line to each, the MTX the further of the two. i do plan to remedy this to a better option at a later date, but i have other projects in front of that endeavor.

mods should be current in profile, and i can get pics logs if needed.

Dudeeeee I'm having the same issue but mine reads 42.2 psi.

I emailed ecm tuning to see what they say.

Hopefully someone will chime in.

I haven't emailed them yet, but I posted on the ecmlink forums. If I can't sort it on here or there, I'll email them and see what they say.

Are you using the PnP harness as well?

As good as they work when they function correctly-

The OMNI 4 Bar fails notoriously. Good news is that they are well aware of the issues and a quick phone call will have you a new one at your doorstep in days......zero questions asked.

I personally went through 3 units inside 30 days and fianally switched to an AEM stainless. Zero issues since.

Brand new OMNI #4 sits on the shelf.

Yuppp, PnP as well. The IAT reads correctly, so does everything else.

I had one read bad and got ahold of Thomas and they sent me another unit, asap. Been a couple years ago. So what is the better 4 or 5 bar MAP to use, other than the OMNI? I am on the edge of a 4 bar unit.

Same here. I'm starting to think it's just a bad map. I doubt they'll swap me one, I originally bought it a few years ago when I got ecmlink, but only recently installed it.

I may see about sourcing another map sensor anyway, like a screw in style, but waiting on more info for now.

Hopefully they reply to my email, I bought it last week. I installed it this past Sunday, so they should be able to help me out.

Yea in that time frame they shouldn't have a problem taking care of you. Post back once you hear from them!

Tested my harnessd just before the rain hit, and there's no odd readings with that, so I'm assuming it's a bad sensor, I will email ecmlink tonight or tomorrow and see what they say.

havent heard from ecmlink in the past week, i know theyre busy, and i cant find any wiring related issues that indicate a problem. im probably going to order a new sensor and if that doesnt work ill pursue ecmlink contact more heavily.

anyone else having a hard time contacting them or getting a reply?
