I have a few of these in stock currently. Please pm me if interested

I wanted one of these but realized I didn’t need it. I run a 2g alternator relocated to the back of the block with a Jay Racing kit and single stretch belt on a 6 bolt in a 2g chassis. Nothing rubs or hits the frame rail and I can still tension the belt. Didn’t have to hack my timing cover or anything. Not sure why but my setup works just fine without this. Any explanation as to why this might be a better solution than what I have currently?

I forgot to mention I also do not have power steering.

From what I understand, when you delete powersteering and relocate alternator to the back and use the belt on inner grooves, then this pulley aligns the water pump better so that belts don't go flying. Correct me if I am wrong.

My belt doesn’t go flying and I make 600awhp so I’m just wondering if there is an explanation as to why this is needed. Nothing hits my frame rail or anything. I’m confused is all.

If your setup is working for you, then great. In some cases it seems that the alternator pulley rubs on the frame rail on a 2g with a 6 bolt. This pulley can help by spacing the alternator away from the frame rail.

I have a few of these available if anyone needs/wants one.

Update- this part is now 8 second dsm proven! Props to Mike Wagner!
