Hey, I am trying to get my car ready and I want to put ECMLink on it. The problem is that my ecu is not an eprom. My car is the odd ball 90 which means it's even harder to come across an eprom one. As of right now ECMLink does not have the capacity to convert mine to a eprom. I know you can put a 91 and up ecu in my 90. if I want to run my car sometime soon, do you think this is a good option? What are people's thoughts. I have posted a WTB yet. Should I do that first? Willing to take any advice. I want my car to run!!

You can. I did for years in my 90. Just make sure you swap the 2 pins on your harness (can't remember them off the top of my head). Everything will work as normal except your tach. It'll work fine till you floor it it, then it'll just drop to 0. There are work arounds to make your tach work correctly but I eventually just got a 90 ECU for mine.

I believe it's pin 14 and 6 you have to swap.

I run 90 ECU's in my 90's but they had to be socketed at ECMLink and the Link chip installed. I have to say I love mine, because everything works as normal and when your getting close to 9000 rpm's, its kinda nice to know. ROFL
Maybe it's just me.....:)
If you go with a 91+ ECU, I'd be glad to give a nominal amount for your tach filter :thumb:
