80k as in turbo revs right? As im confused, turbos run alot more then that but also engine revs are alot less,

Being compound turbo allowed them to bring the turbo speed down to ~80k rpm which resulted in lower charge air temps, bringing the turbos into a better efficiency range than pushing a single too hard.

Kinda what gets brought up allot that high psi doesn't always mean more power.

Yes he's referring to turbo RPMs. He's using a gt42 and gt55, both as a high pressure function, which I'm assuming he's accomplishing with the specialty turbine housings since the RPM is lower than I'd assume. Then again with compounding, from what I understand, you can get away with the lower rpm keeping on the compressors efficiency island due to the second turbos compounding effect on the charge.

Once again I'm a total noob as far as compound turbos go. either way it's awesome to see those crazy Aussies pushing the limits of the application. I'm very interested in the bucket-style-lifter head they mention someone in Europe has come up with... @ec17pse have you any information on that tidbit?

The jealousy of the 4g63 in the comments is sad, people need to get a life, "its a billet block" yeah, so are the top fuel dragster "Hemi's" and you still call that a Hemi dont you?

Anyone who doesn't particularly like a certain group or brand does that, they'll nitpick anything to invalidate it. The fact that it can use stock internals if wished, and retains all the stock geometrics is enough for me.
