Just received a triple disc clutch from a guy today. A bit dirty but new and can just hit with some brake clean. But my question is about the disc because I'm not sure the disc names are 100% correct in my head. If I put the "Bottom" disc on the flywheel, it hits the flywheel bolts at the center hub of the disc. There's a bottom, center, and trans disc. So not sure if I'm missing something, need a different type of flywheel bolts, or what. When looking at websites like Boostin Performance for example, it says no modifications required. Anyone have any input? Assuming not many people out there using this setup though.

Just as an update for anyone in my shoes, I ordered some ARP flywheel bolts. Minimal difference in height of the head but enough to resolve my issue. I've heard conflicting information about the clutch coming with bolts but I still don't know the true answer to that. Regardless, problem solved.

I would love to hear feedback on the install, the model and how good/bad it works :thumb:

Edit: didn't catch the writing in the picture, it is a Competition Clutch I see now.

They are light switch on off in my experience, that and the rattling sets off the knock sensor if you dont adjust for the noise.

Well dam....dont't want to set off the knock sensor. Don't mind the on off thing as it would be in the mostly track, occasional run through town car. I have a QM Twin that I haven't used yet and just kinda want a feel for these type of clutches. When I found the point that mine wouldn't hold anymore, I was wanting something that would clamp. Thanks Matt.

I had a QM twin previously (old style) before swapping to a South Bend. On first engagement, it hit so hard I stalled it, a few times actually. Was just trying to pull it out of the garage but was really on/off. After breaking it in, I could slip it just fine. I'm sure this will be just the same.

As for it tripping the knock sensor, I haven't heard that one, but at idle or low speeds it should probably just be ignored anyway.

I'll try and remember to post updates when I get the chance though.
