Hey! I'm from Canada and about to order some fuel parts from RTMRacing. I was curious, does anyone have experience with the different rewire kits?
I'm sure they both get the job done, but with practically no difference in cost between RTM and STM rewire kits, is there one that is better? i.e. one might use better wire, be easier to install, etc.

Probably picking at straws at this point but still curious.

Just make sure to check wire quality, I haven't checked out either of those kits, but make sure you get and OFC (oxygen free copper) kit and not a CCA (copper clad aluminum) kit. Past that as long as the relay and connectors are decent quality, not much to worry about other than price.

I used a JNZ kit and works well, i believe they all do the same but as said above, sometime quality of wire might be different.

You could always ask Ziggy at RTM about the wire they use in their kit. They know what they are doing
FYI Ziggy said their RTM kit uses OFC wire, and that they are not stocking that kit anymore. Moving onto the Deatschwerks kit.

Well, damn. A solid product.. but considering there are so few running DSMs left in Canada, perhaps we already are almost all rewired by now LOL

Since the kit is nothing but appropriately gauged wire, a couple eyelets, an inline fuse, and a relay, have you checked how much it would be do DIY rather than paying (upcharging) retail costs?

For me, swallowing the $40 was pretty easy because I suck at electrical. Anything to make electrical easier/more reliable, I'll take it. At the end of the day, it's what you deem your time searching and finding the right fuses, wires, all that stuff with the potential risk of it not all working together (for whatever reason). That's my main reason for why I buy off-the-shelf electronics kits because I know they will work, but I know people who can do all of their electronics by themselves and make it better quality than anything off-the-shelf ever would be.
To answer your question, I'm sure it would cost around $20 to DIY it, maybe less. An extra $20 for peace of mind that I didn't turn my car into an electrical bomb in my car, I'm fine with that.
