I did a lot of research in the past and remember that the stock 2.0L 4g63 had a perfect rod to stroke ratio and put a lot less stress on the cylinder walls. That's the reason these motors hardly ever have ring ridge is because there is little stress on the cylinder walls to create the ridge. Although Mitsubishi did a lot of research in the 80's with the g54b with a dual overhead cam head. If memory serves me right the 7th generation was the head on the 4g63. The motor Mitsubishi should have put in the starquest is a dual overhead cam 4g64 and would for sure be my choice for a starion/conquest .
