So I just upgraded my cams to kelford 272s.
I used the method of tie wrapping the timing belt to the cam gears when both the crank and the cams were at TDC.
When I was done I checked again that both the cam gears and the crank was still at TDC and it was.
I let the car sit over night to let the lifters bleed.
I started it today for the first time in a few weeks. It was raining today so humidity was at 100%.
I primed the engine first until I saw oil pressure.
When I started it the valves sounded a lttile noise and I was getting white smoke out of the exhaust. Not sure if it was condensation or head gasket related. I let it run for about 5 mins and it still seemed to be producing white smoke out of the exhaust.
I did a compression test and got 170 across the board.
I'm using Brad Penn oil so it's hard to tell if I have coolant in my oil. The oil did look a little watery but I'm not sure if it was just some condensation or coolant.
So I plan on doing a leak down test to confirm but was wondering what you guys think.
Thanks
