Some older mishimoto brand fans.

Newer ones might be able to produce more flow. My Problem is you can’t fit a huge fan on the front due to clearence from the upper core support and hood latch. Since I retained my oem latch.
ive got a singe 12" derale on my scirroco and it has no issues keeping mine cool. pn on it is a 18212 if you want to check it out to see if itll work for you. i use it as a puller fan.

I’ll check it out, as well as some others. In no way am I saying this rad can’t keep the car cool. It actually does very well. I’m just reporting what Iv experienced in dead stop traffic.

I purchased one but the height was 14. 5" tall and had some tabs on the bottom that wouldn't work, so trying to return it. Anyone have a good link to one that actually works? Thanks

Looks nice, good thing is it used every mm of space from looking at the size specs, did you trim the front support or you left it sitting behind it? The latch support?

Latch is still in place. The only thing I did was hammer the sides of the core ever so slightly, and drill holes for the bottom mounts. That and make brackets for the top. Nothing more. Need to put some rubber in there though.

Pretty easy install then,
Im opting to go forward a bit more and remove the latch and support, i had a hard time with melting fans from the hest and lack of air flow to the fans after my IC install so further away the safer in my eyes.

Some folks on my Facebook suggested I put some rubber in there to kill any vibration. Was trying to figure out what to use when it clicked The old mounting brackets. Kept the rubber in the brackets to cut to keep it straight. Also showing the small hole I had to drill in the support, and where I had to hammer the sides of the core support so it would fit. Wasn't hard at all.

Well, I thought I was installing 2 pusher fans but now the radiator is too close to the intercooler and won't fit. So I now have one 10" puller fan. Sure hope it's enough to keep it cool.

Which radiator and how did that single puller end up working out?

Link to the radiator is posted up on post #34 I believe. I made a new mount for my intercooler so now I have two 10" pusher fans. But car is currently down due to an auto conversion I'm currently doing. The one fan might have done the job but a couple of the zip tie things broke and the fan wasn't hugging the radiator. I didn't realize it until I was pulling the turbo off to downsize the turbine housing.

Don't know if you can see this very good or not.

Doesn't bother me any. That's what these are for.

No issues getting it back on after trimming the bumper some due to the intercooler being pushed forward some with the new mount. But I'm also using two 10" pusher fans now and I couldn't fit them there without removing the hood latch, causing me to have to get hood pins.

I’m actually in the process of installing mine now. I’m switching from a small Honda radiator to this. One silly question..do you think there’s any chance the ac condenser could fit in between the radiator
And the fIC seeing how you moved the inter cooler out a little bit. Yes I am hoping I can still run Ac LOL

Only if it's very narrow and have fans for pullers only. Can't guarantee that it will work though.

sorry to bring this thread back up three years later but what hose did you use for the upper? Is it possible to use the stock one?

I had to just go to the parts store and find one that matched as close as possible and the trimmed to shorten it. No idea what hose it even was. Someone else might be able to give a better answer.

No worries I don’t mind doing some hunting. Just thought I’d ask before I go run around finding one😂
