Hey everybody. I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to post this. I couldn't find a more suitable section.

I'm Going to be accquiring a 1995 eagle talon TSi AWD pretty soon, and I wanted to go over what it currently has, and what I plan to do with it, and ask if you guys this this build will worl, but most importantly, be reliable for my power goal.

Currently the car isn't complete and needs to be trailered to my house. It has
•Stock fuel pump
•Stock injectors
•30 3511 Evo8 infinity ECU with 6/8H PnP adapter harness.
•Brand new, never driven on stock imternals rebuild.
•Stock clutch
•Huge turbo (no markings, might be chinese)
•spare transmission with 130,000km
•stainless header with big external wastegate and screamer pipe.
•3" turbo back exhaust with high flow cat
•No boost gauge,
• unsure of the O2 sensor

My plan is to make 350-400hp but reliability over power, this car is to be daily driven, so I don't want it to be breaking a sweat at this power level. to acheive this I plan to add

•750-880cc injectors
•wallbro 255 or larger fuel pump
•I want a BIG 16g turbo, because the one that's on it is way bigger than it needs to be and I am unsure of its quality. I plan to weld the flapper shut on the internal wastegate, because I really want to use the external one with the screamer.
•Clutch, I am kinof unsure here. I was thinking an act 2100 with a 6 puck, I know it isnt as streetable, but think its cool, I just don't know if it will hold the power. I want it to be able to handle like 500hp (equivalent torque) because I want it to be unslippable at my power level, even under abuse. Or if I have the cash I was thinking of getting a twin disc, but I'm not sure if it will be okay at this lower power level.
•boost gauge of course
•wideband O2 if it doesnt already have one.

I might be missing a few things. But if not, do you guys think this setup would work for what I want it to do? And can you help me decide on a slightly overkill clutch without killing my thrust bearing?

Your on the right track. Ditch the unknown Chinese turbo and get the 16g. I'm not familiar with the evo 8 ecu as I run dsmlink. Maybe someone that knows that ecu can chip in on its tuning capabilities. Get a working boost and afr gauge. Do all of the maintenance like timing belt water pump etc. Your injector choice is good for your power levels and a 16g. As for the clutch, I run the act 2600 sprung 6 puck and think it is still very friendly on the street. A lot of guys seem to like the south bend clutches these days so that is another option to look into. At your target power levels I would stay away from a twin disk, especially if you plan to keep this as a street car. And as for the header I would reccomend finding a stock 2g manifold and porting it out. For a 16g it will have plenty of flow, be less likely to crack, and keep your under hood temps down.

Thanks for the reply. The tuning shop I'll be going to has already had the car in it, they helped the previous owner select the ECU and they said it is capable of whatever I need. I was thinking just the ACT 2100 with a 6 puck sprung, their website says it'll hold 415 ft•lb but in practice, when it heats up, is it gonna do the job? As for maintainence. Everything in the engine is brand new, timing belt, waterpump, apternator and power steering belts, flywheel, its basically a brand new engine. I hadn't considered going with a stock header, especially because I'd have to modify it to fit the external wastegate, but I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Anything else?

Also. The car has a stock new head gasket. I was planning on installing ARP head studs without replacing/upgrading the head gasket. Would this be okay if I replaced them one at a time?

You want to daily the car? Replace the head gasket and all the timing components. Tensioner, Belts, pulleys and balancers. Felpro composite headgasket with ARPs.

Replace the fuel filter. Fuel pump sock.

Change the oil and oil filter.

Also do a search on PCV systems. That will help. I DD my car and I run two catchcans.

Walbro 255 will require an AFPR.

This site has all the info you need. Use the search function. We have all encountered EVERY possible problem and it has be DOCUMENTED here on this site. You are never the first. Have fun.

Your bread and butter setup would be:
AEM/Innovate wideband
evo3/20g/hta68 turbo
evo3/2g exhaust manifold with ported o2 housing
south bend clutch as they have a softer pedal than their act counterparts
ecmlink or chipped blackbox
some type 264/272 cams
quality ets fmic
walbro 255 with afpr to control to added fuel pressure
some type of low cc injector like those you mentioned
Anything else is gravy.
