I have a 1GB TSI AWD, manual transmission. I have been searching for the fender splash shield that goes directly behind the side-mount intercooler. Mitsubishi only sold this splash shield as part of a kit, mb861272. Finding this kit new is damn near impossible best I can tell, and buying used ones is hard because I don't know the specific MB number printed on the part. Seems most confuse 1GA's with it and it is slightly different. Would someone that has a 1GB like mine, know or able to look at this splash guard and tell me the MB number molded into it?

Thanks,

As a follow-up to my old post, I'm pretty sure I have the right number now, see picture. I got it from a kit marked MB861266, which is technically for awd auto or fwd manual I guess, but I believe this piece works for awd manual as well.
I see MB861264 for the entire splash guard kit for a 1Gb 5-speed AWD. It is more than likely discontinued.

Post a WTB ad or inquire about your part request with someone parting out a 1g. There is also Miller Import who serves as a great resource for parts.

I've done WTB ads, both here and on a few DSM Facebook sites. Even offering 50 bucks for one in good condition, which I think is more than fair. I have a line on one locally, but the guy is super busy with working out of town and a new kid, so unfortunately I have yet to get my hands on one. I still would like to verify the MB number molded into the part before I waste our times. I've used Miller Imports in the past, unfortunately getting Steve to find one in good condition, and take pictures before mailing out is not always easy, he's a busy guy which I understand so I'm doing this first. I'm not the typical DSM'er these days, I'm pretty anal about the parts that go on my car, had it for nearly 20 years.

I know the feeling.....

Maybe Nate over at performancepartout.com/ can help you out. He has helped me out a bunch of times with my GVR4 and I know he has 1gs too.
