Ok, so I have searched and searched, but I just don't have a peace about the firing order. The engine doesn't run right and I want to be sure.

Some of you may remember our GHS project car threads. This is a high school build. So, we've got a 6 bolt block, a 2ga head, a Kiggly crank sensor, good compression, dsmlink v2 setup to a decent base, etc. I just want to confirm the firing order. Right now we are running a stock 2g firing order. 4,1,2,3. Reading left to right on the coil packs. Now, in my searches I have heard about swapping those. That didn't seem to help us. Anyway, can you guys please confirm the 4,1,2,3 order for me?

Then I can move on to trying to figure out why it is running like it is.

You run the order associated with the ECU/CAS you run. Seeing you have an EPROM ECU with DSMLink, you have the 95 ECU. What CAS are you running?

If you are running the 95/96 CAS (under the intake cam) you will leave the original order. If you are running a 1G CAS or 97-99 CAS, you will swap the wires like the diagram.

They would be swapped by swapping the ecu pins where they exit the ecu for the injectors, if your using a factory eprom ecu and have the 2ga cas, you should not need to change anything.

make sure you do not have “Use non-95/96 style cam angle sensor” checkbox in the Misc tab of the ECU Config tab (called “Invert CAS” option in the ECU→Miscellaneous dialog in the older V2 application). checked in ecmlink.

your firing order should be

The only thing that would make this incorrect is if you were using a 97 ecu that was converted to EPROM

Also the injector firing order needs to be swapped if your running a 95-99 if you want optimum running.

If you’re running a 95-99 what?

OP- With a 95/96 ECU running a 95/96 CAS, you will run the stock orientation for the wires and injectors. Do not select to invert the CAS signal via Link.

I meant to say a 97'-99' cas in a 95' eprom ecu, not sure how it ended up at 95-99.

What do you mean by doesn't run right? Can you be more descriptive? Misfires? Hard starting, stalling, lack of power, stumbling? etc...
yes on the coil pack assembly from left to right 4-1-2-3

Well, I hoped to address the firing order specifically before maybe starting a new thread to address how it is running. That said,I'll try to start it up today and write down the specifics to how it is behaving.
