So my car would turn over slow and not start, I took the starter out and had it tested and it wasn’t extracting or whatever it was bad. Just installed the new one and I hear the relay click, but the car doesn’t turn over at all now. What’s the issue? I believe I hear the starter moving and stuff too like engaging

Is your car auto or stick? I will tell you right now that auto parts stores have the wrong listing for the starters for these cars, there is a long nose starter and a short nose, the parts stores ALL list only one, you may get the right one, you may not and if its wrong, it could be too long and jam against the flywheel, see if you can grab your old one and compare it to the replacement one to make sure.

Wow that’s very upsetting, I got the core charge. So I can’t really compare.. wouldn’t I really hear the starter going or something?

It’s auto

I forget how we did it, I think we told them we had a 1991 auto Talon or something, have them list the part numbers for all 1g and 2g starters and get whichever one is different than the one you have, but remember not to get a 2g non turbo 420a starter, thats a Chrysler engine.
