I've always been interested in picking up some land in another state for investment, as well as the benefits of relaxed gun and smog laws. I am aware that said land needs an actual address, in order to obtain a license/register things. Perk of the military is you can claim any state "home" if you have property there, so I'm not worried about getting pulled over for out of state plates.
From the research I've done, it seems outside of Phoenix/Tucson counties (includes vehicles commuting to/from) vehicles are only subject to emissions testing and inspection upon purchase/selling. Meaning, in theory, you should be left to do your thing.
Can anyone lend some insight to anything I may be missing as far emissions testing and/or registration, how you guys do/dont have to do things to keep your cars modded, and not under a constant microscope. Thanks in advance!
