Sup guys, so car on first start up will idle fine but after a minute or two AFR go super rich and will rough adle up to like 1700 and die or it will choke itself and pick back up to normal idle for a second or so. Replaced plugs, replaced a vacuum line i found slit. Other than haven't came across any leaks, checked couplers, no tears. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas??

Alot of times erratic idle is caused by leaks around the TB. There's two gaskets, one on the TB to elbow, and TB to manifold. If either of those gaskets is deteriorated and it's sucking air it'll have poor idle. Depending on the maintenance of the car, the shaft seals in the TB can be bad and also cause hard-to-find idle issues. I'd start by rebuilding the TB and replacing those gaskets. They pretty cheap and it can't hurt.

The other possibility is your ISC is bad. It's getting harder to find a good Mitsu one. There used to be website that was selling them, I'm not sure if they still exist. RockAuto used to sell one as well, not sure if they still do.

Throttle body was just rebuilt, has maybe 200 miles if that on it, fresh gaskets with some RTV. Where is my ISC located?

Sounds like its going high enough that the ecu is cutting fuel in an attempt to drop it which would be the dying part your talking about. Do you have your coolant lines connected to the throttle body still?

Under the Throttle Body by the inlet. In the 2G factory manuals they call it the IAC (Idle Air Control).

I'm not a fan of using RTV anywhere near the TB.
