during my new crankshaft position sensor install I was not able to push the plastic clips through the timing cover. Will this present a problem later? Car runs fine

Okay before I go ahead and do this does anyone have any advice special tricks used to push those plastic clips through the covers? Maybe i just use a lot of force?

Shouldn't require that much force, it's just an odd angle usually. They're meant to be this way however, so the wire is held taught once they're clipped in.

Good news tonight I took my timing covers off and I clipped the crank sensor both bottom and top! I feel much better now all I have to do is get a new coolant temp sensor to help with my dsm stalling on cold start I live in the midwest so its pretty cold out here.

Thank you and I would just like to add from what I understand just about cars here are my dsms problems now i bought it like this im gonna fix it though. It has an ebay non-recir. Blow off valve which is bad if you dont run speed density. Also my car has an exhaust leak at downpipe with no catalytic converter or O2 sensor in the rear now this is bad and let me explain why. Cars go from closed to open loop but without a rear o2 sensor and a catalytic converter that process does not happen as it should and these are also issues I plan on sorting out as fast as I can.

Yes I am, thank you.
I'm trying to reinstall the crank sensor but the belt is to tight to slip the sensor out or in.

Looks like you have an oil leak somewhere. Oil leak onto tbelt=no bueno and could lead to kaboomee

Well....you probably have to remove and reinstall belt. I kinda figured that was obvious. You're already there so an additional 10 min.
I assume you're concerned about doing that? What happened to the sensor?

Oil leak on valve cover so it leaked down. This was the prior picture before I cleaned the area with the old sensor.

I'm changing it because I have a crank and no start. Got fuel, spark, compression, timing. When I start the car, my rpm isn't moving.
I haven't taken off the belt because I was concerned about the tension and putting it back.

It’s not difficult to set the tension and line up the marks. If you have to timing belt tool kit, you can even leave the tension the same. All you’d have to do is lock the cams, use zip ties on both cams towards the outside (10 & 2 o’clock) to hold the tbelt, get the tensioner arm pushed down with the tool. This will give you slack on the tbelt. Then pull the idler pulley. This will keeping the tensioner pulley in the same position so you won’t have to worry about setting the tension.

Don't quote me but doesn't the coil effect rpm reading?

There are many writeups on this. Do you have basic hand tools? Do you have any of the timing belt tools? What is your skill level? Setting timing is very objective. In my opinion its difficult to screw up unless you don't follow directions.
