I have a 95 eclipse. I'm installing my fluidampr and I know I need 35mm longer bolts for the harmonic balancer but my question is? I got a ARP crank bolt and it just goes right thew the fuidampr. I got the right bolt right fuidampr everything I checked. If anyone can help. Please

Crank bolt is different then the 4 outer bolts on the balancer, the revised balancer version the oem bolts work fine, and as you said bolts you must know its the 4 outer bolts and not a crank bolt? Maybe not

See washer wont hold fluidampr at all

Thats a crank bolt so it holds the lower crank hub, the outer 4 bolts hold the dampner on to the hub, they use M8 bolts

What everyone is saying above is correct. You may be used to V8 engines like the GM LS where there is only the center crank bolt that holds it on. On a 4g63 that is not the case. The large crank bolt in the center is only to hold on the crank gear timing sprocket. The 4 m8 bolts that bolt to the crank gear is what holds the fluidampr on.

Ok thank you all for the response. The fuidampr is the lettering go in toward the block or out also?

The newer Fluidampr units for 2g are letters in, Im pretty sure Ive seen older units that are letters out. Dont think its possible to bolt it on backwards, although I confess, Ive never tried

There was a change to the thickness of the hub, in the past , the four 12mm OEM bolts where too sort, they reach, but not enough thread engagement to drive on safly. The OEM bolts work just fine on the newer offering. Aside from that, there are not any functional differences that I am aware of.

Apply a thread locker to the CRANK bolt and torque it to spec. You DO NOT want that thing getting loose. I made that mistake....not again.

You have the newer model, the same one that I run, so the letters definitely go inward, and you use the stock size bolts, if there were any changes you have the latest and greatest.
