hi I recently just installed a act streetlite flywheel with a act 2600 6puck and it’s stiff like it should be (the pedal) but the clutch engages literally right as soon as I start bringing my foot from the floor and I did the clutch drag test and it’s dragging, I’ve been reading for days and just want personal opinions I read a lot of people shim the fork as well as some people just have back luck with the oem fork and it breaks, possibilities are never ending. First think that will be replaced will be the slave and master, I hope that fixes the problem but if it doesn’t I have also read a lot about step height, if I end up just resurfacing stock flywheel will the step height be normal or when they resurface it does the step height change? Sorry for the dumb questions I’m just trying to learn !

Did you check and adjust your pedals?
I second this. Check to make sure it is adjusted. If you run out of adjustment then I would go and look to make sure the fork is sitting in the middle of the housing on the trans. If that is bad you may need to shim the ball. I would recommend a new ball and pivot fork at that point. If you can upgrade the fork I would. I have a 2600 and I got a new ball and upgraded pivot fork. no issues so far.

Grab your clutch pedal and see if you can pull it up. A worn pedal assembly and hydraulics are the go to clutch issues in a 1g. Every 1g should have a welded pedal and metal bushings by now.

That being said I had to change the ratio of pedal travel to slave travel to get a 2900 to work in my car. A 2600 worked fine though.

I have adjusted the clutch pedal as far back as it’ll let me go with that little black pin still getting the pressure it needs, the fork sits right in the middle like it should I’m pretty sure. Can someone give me more information on how welding the clutch assembly works maybe link me? I’m in welding school and can probably get it done ASAP. But I can pull it forward about a inch!

You weld the arm onto the shaft instead of just bolting it on. That’s the easy part, the fun part is removing the pedal assembly. You have to drop the steering column.

Thanks man, anyone else have any advice feel free to comment imgknna try slave and master first like I said
