Hola
My timing belt just went out. Understand my heads gone and all that. Talk to me about options. If i wanted to do an engine swap what am i looking at spending?

Car is a stock 95 TSI FWD. Ive had it for a long time. Up to that point it ran perfectly but it was stored for 9 years in climate controlled warehouse.

Is my chasis worth anything? She looks really good.

Any advice appreciated

It depends on how fast the motor was spinning. Could be a few bent valves or it could have put holes in the pistons. Pull the head and find out.

The car looks good, I would say it's worth fixing

So the timing belt is at least 10 years old? you thought that would be ok? LOL, this is why its so important to do maintenance and have at least a look under the cover before running it after sitting that long.

This is what bad looks like. I guess holes in pistons is worse but you hope for the best.
