I'm in the market for some fuel injectors, but I'm concerned that the fic 1800s blue max "low z," may potentially have issues with drivability, including warm start ups from what I've read regarding smaller fic injectors from older posts. I don't know if they've made their products better over time, as the description on their page made it sound as though one shouldn't have an issue with getting these injectors driving right. What's your experience with fic blue 1800s "low z"? I'm looking to run gas and e85... This will be a daily driver. I Will give them a call in the morning as well, but I'd always prefer a dsmer's opinion.

High probability they'll run like garbage. I had a set of 1450's that has a bad slope in the low pulsewidth area and I wasted a few days of my life attempting to half ass bandaid them. Ecmlink doesn't allow you to input separate injector slopes for high and low because it uses a global scaler and as a result, the only way to get the car to run "right" is to trick the ecu into pushing the injector into its linear part of the graph. In turn you either have to have a very high idle or tune very rich at idle. I did not like either of those options so I went with a set of highz's which have a more linear flow down low. Wish I would have done it from the get-go.

EDIT: I have no experience with the 1800's specifically.

On my buddies we used blue max 1450 or 1600s on e85 and it was a pita at idle, possibly easier than pump just because of e85 needing to be richer anyways. On mine I went with high z 1600s and have had zero issues with idle tuning honestly they are an awesome injector well worth the extra cash.
