RTMracing gone way down hill??

I've unfortunately given up with RTM. I will still buy small, easy to ship items from them if theyre in stock and I need it asap, but otherwise I am ordering elsewhere now.

The worst is if they don't have something in stock. I've tried to order a Kiggly HLA regulator from Abbas multiple times, leaving voicemails, emails, etc. He never remembers to bring one in, and never gets back to me. If he cant handle getting one item, I don't have much faith in fulfilling a complex order with multiple parts that are out of stock.

Its a shame too, I look back at how many orders I placed with Ziggy over the years and how great the service was, and cant help being disappointed.

Everything said in stock. Nothing big. Ordered evening of Thursday Aug 23rd. UPS Express saver 1-2 business day shipping. I was hoping to have the parts by the following Wednesday at the latest. Still nothing. I miss Ziggy.

I ordered on the 22nd. He said he would call me back on the 27th and nothing since.

How long are you going to wait before initiating a refund through your payment processor? Shall we do it at the same time?
I will wait a little while longer but Abbas can't just HAVE 750 of my dollars without the product I ordered in return...I hope he knows that.

I started CCing Ziggy's personal email, but I think he has totally washed his hands of RTM at this point - radio silence.

I'm not too worried yet. My order was only $140 + shipping. A bunch of small sensors...etc that I need to fix issues.

I'm annoyed that my car has been on jack stands for 2 weeks. Glad I paid for 1 business day shipping.

I emailed him this morning to check the status of my order.

Let me know if you hear back. He hasn't responded to my numerous emails or voicemails for 11 business days now, and he definitely didn't call me back on the 27th like he said he was going to. The "death in the family" excuse bought him 1 or 2 days but not 11.

No word yet. I've started firing off daily emails requesting status updates. Snow is already on its way and I was hoping to use this car before the white stuff gets here.

Public Service Announcement:

I got a call from Ziggy just now. Abbas is no longer in charge of RTM Racing. Anyone who placed an order recently needs to initiate a PayPal dispute and get a refund ASAP. I put in my dispute and escalated it to PayPal already. It is likely Abbas has already cleared out any money that might have still been in RTM's PayPal account.

ZIGGY HAS TAKEN BACK THE WEBSITE AND COMPANY. HE IS ATTEMPTING TO RE-TAKE POSSESSION OF THE INVENTORY. Expect RTM's e-commerce site to be down for 5-6 weeks while the mess is sorted through. Abbas has an older brother who is much more responsible, and is currently running a successful tuning business out of the same location as wherever Abbas moved RTM. Ziggy is exploring the possibility of re-selling RTM to the brother, since Abbas wasn't even remotely capable of handling the responsibility, but the brother isn't overly wild about the idea of suddenly being in charge of a parts business on top of a tuning service.

Ziggy is doing his best to go through the un-filled orders backlog and call everyone who got screwed by Abbas, but let it be clear that any monetary disputes with RTM are between PayPal/$Processor, Abbas and the customer. If you have any open orders with RTM, you should be getting a call from Ziggy by the end of tomorrow. If you don't, PM me for his contact info (I have permission).

Huge respect to Zig for suspending his retirement to try and save RTM. He was already two years on, he could have just let it go.

word is... yesterday Abbas did indeed send out about 20 packages.. but whos packages went out and if they even contained car parts... is not known to Ziggy. ziggy is asking for your patience while he works things out.

Update: I do now have a tracking number via PayPal dispute. It'll be a miracle if it is actually the last set of 2G Tokico 5-ways this side of the Pacific and not pubes, but we shall see! If they aren't boxes of pubes and are the last set of Tokicos, then I hope the ample amount of money I shelled out for them ultimately goes to Ziggy, since there are unpaid debts owed to him involved in this situation.

No pubes! I received Tokico shocks, and they are the right part#. The boxes are torn up pretty bad and they weren't enclosed in a larger box for shipping, so they definitely got jostled around plenty. However, they APPEAR to be intact.

Abbas, if you're reading this: That money belongs to Ziggy, do the right thing.

Just to let you guys know...

During the DSM/EVO shootout of 2018.. And prolly the last 4 or 5 shootouts... Ziggy himself... Has taken about 15 or so Dsmers out for supper and paid for everything..

As a Canadian, he has done this a few times in Canada a few times as well..

If you are one of the few lucky people to experience a dinner with Ziggy.. Then you have most likely learned why he does this..

He does this.. Paying for our expensive meals.. And drinks... Because he greatly appreciates us for allowing him to be where he is now.

But what's more important... Is the stories he tells. If you never get the chance to have dinner with him... Just start a conversation with him about dsms. He loves to talk about the early years.. And has tones of great stories!

He is always at shootout... But he prefers to be there as part of the group of freinds... Not a vendor trying to make money.!

What the hell was this Abbias guy doing? Sitting around all day?

Well, that is the typical occupation of nearly everyone under age 40 :boring:

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say that Abbas had other people's money (Mommy and Daddy?) to play with, and thought owning a race shop would be a good social status upgrade on Faecesbook, but then realized running a successful business requires actual work, so he just blew it off instead. This multi-year trend he has set is a clear example of someone who has no personal risk associated with the business they're running into the ground. Want another tell-tale sign? No apologies, only stacks of excuses.

I got the same watered-down service being complained about in this thread from him two years ago too. Basically, I placed a huge order (to save on cross-border shipping) for all kinds of stuff from 50-cent washers to $400 single components. Over email, a dozen questions never got answered and it took at least a week or two for him to even start packing the order, and then another week for him to remember to ship it out.

When you say ziggy, is this the same ziggy that owns zeitronics? And has been on the fover of old skool magazines?

No. Ziggy.. Aka Seigfreid... Is a Canadian who started up Rtm racing back when the dsm world began. Ran it out of his own house.. And had a CNC machine shop in his basement. He fabricated and sold alot of special dsm parts.

Oh i see, thanks for clarifying, i mean ziggy is not a common name and i met ziggy from zeitronics once and was over the moon i had a dsm so seemed like a very similer spirit

I bought something from them August 14th and never received anything after my initial order email. I asked for an update and never got anything.
thank you for this info
